The Perfect Family

Ruby was crying and Garnet was trying to comfort her. Ruby was the closest to Granite because they were abducted together. I sat on the floor staring into space. Benji was sitting on her lap. His head was on her chest.They heard a sound of footsteps coming closer to the room. I put a hand on Benji protectively. The door opened the man walked inside of the room. He looked at me and Benji.

“Stand up” he said

I stood up still holding Benji. He moved closer to me He bent down and whispered

"Put Granite down and go to the door."

I moved towards the door. I put Granite down, but held on to his hand.

“Go to your rooms now” he snarled at the Ruby and Garnet

They both jumped up and ran toward their room. He followed them and he locked their doors from the outside. When he came back to the front of the house he sat down on the couch.

“Come here” he said

“Why?” I asked pulling him close and hanging on tight

“I’m not going to hurt him?”

I still wouldn't let him move.

“Do not disobey me?”he growled at me

I knew that he was serious. I let go of Benji and he slowly made his way to him.

“Sapphire" he said looking at me

"It's almost time"
