DEVIN’S POV
“Ivy is dating Cam.”
For the rest of the day, that was the only thing I kept hearing at work. It was annoying and painful. It was already bad enough that I had to live with it and think about it every passing moment, but to have every other person around me whispering it? I could not bear it. I spent the rest of the day annoyed and pissed off, yelling at people, making a scene, I think I even fired someone. Who was it again? I couldn’t even remember who it was or what the person did. It did not matter though, I was so deep into my emotions, and I knew I was lashing out wrongly, but I could not stop it. The only thing that made me feel slightly better was the thought of my daughter at home. So, I rushed through the days work, hoping to go and see her as early as possible.
