IVY’S POV I stared at the dish in front me, feeling a growing irritation in my belly. A bile formed in my throat as the smell of the food wafted into my nose. With a shake of my head, I slid the plate away from me. My stomach growled with anger but I preferred it to eating whatever was in that place. It wasn’t that the food was bad - as a matter of fact, Sabrina had prepared my favourite dish before leaving the house - but for some reason, it nauseated me. And that made me angry. The doorbell rang and I rolled my eyes in exasperation. Who was at the door now? I wondered. Briefly, I wondered if it was Devin and if he was here to apologise again. I tried to imagine what that would be and how I would react - would I listen to him or turn him away? Turn him away. I would definitely turn him
