DEVIN’S POV Caroline’s father, Brent Campbell, was an elderly man with a slender build, an average height and a face etched with deep lines and wrinkles. He had these small, narrow eyes that made it look like he was glaring at you, even when he was in his glasses. And right now, those eyes were piercing deep into my soul. “Brent,” I said, in a polite tone. “It’s really good to see you. You look great,” I lied.
