DEVIN’S POV “Thank you very much for coming,” I said to the last of the interviewees, shaking her hand. Like the rest of them, she was a middle-aged woman with a kind face and lot of experience. If I was going to raise a child alone, I needed the best I could get and I made sure to have the best of them come in for the interview. I opened the door for her and she walked out of my office. Then, I closed the door, walked back to my tabled and slumped right into my chair, dropping my head against the table. I raised my head a while after and pressed the button at the side of my table.
