Three days later Sashy slowly opened her eyes. She started to panic as the door opened. She readied a grass sword. Vax came in with food. She calmed down and started to look around the room. "Where are we?" She asked.
"We're at an inn. You've been asleep for three days." Vax sets the tray down and sits by her.
"That's not a surprise. I haven't used that much energy for a long time." She sighed. Vax brought the tray to her.
"I got this for you. It's not the greatest but edible." Vax laughs as she sniffs it.
"You probably think that I'm used to being pampered by living in a palace and having great food, but sometimes food that regular people eat is better." She tries some soup. She starts eating it. "I've got a question for you." She looks at her soup playing with it.
"Shoot." Vax smiles.
"Why did you jump up the balcony?" She asks point blank.
"You looked lonely and sad. I know how it feels to be trapped by a tyrant." He changes seats. He sits on a chair backwards to rest his hands. "Why did you help me escape Warren?" He tilts his head.
"I saw you as me. You're a good person. I couldn't let him take away your freedom." She drops her eyes.
"Sashy, we're more alike than what we want to admit. Let's both escape our past lives together." Vax proposes grinning.
"I like that idea." She smiles. She finishes eating her soup. "Let's go before we're found." She throws her cloak on.
"Where to? It's only time before they find us." Vax asks as they leave the room.
"We'll have a good chance getting to one of the other kingdoms. Outcast Village is where my family is. Then, there are the two cold as motherfuckers." She quietly says hitting the last stair step.
"So somewhere warm or ice cold. So I have little choice." Vax smiled placing some coin on the counter.
"Did that come from Niles?" She asks.
"No, it's what I took from Warren." Vax looks at her eyes.
"Damn... I was hoping that you took it from Niles." She sighed. She started walking to the door. Vax was dumbfounded by her response.
"I'm not a thief!" He whisper yelled grabbing her arm.
"Would you quit grabbing me?" She yelled as she pulled her hood down more hiding her blushing face.
"What's wrong?" He asks trying to look at her face.
"Nothing. Let's just go before they find us." She walks off to the docks.
"Why don't we fly?" Vax whispered.
"We're among humans. They would try to kill us. We travel by boat." She whispered. Vax nodded and boarded the boat with Sashy.
"I wonder where we're going?" He asks looking around the boat.
"This new world is supposed to have gold." A commoner smiles.
"Looks like a new world that's across the ocean." Sashy shrugs her shoulders. She walks to an area that's not crowded.
"So are we going to lay low or have fun?" Vax smiles.
"We're going to train on creating wind and manipulating the water." She grins looking around.
"You're going to mess with their minds?" He asks matter-of-fact.
"Wow we've been together for only five days, and you know me pretty well." She awes.
"Well you have a face that can be read easily." Vax smiles wrapping an arm around her shoulder. She looks at him smiling.
"We're about ready to sail captain." A sailor yells. The sails are ready, and Sashy grins flicking her hand to kill the water and wind currents.
"Why aren't we moving?" The captain asks.
"We don't have any wind." The head sailor informs. Sashy overheard them and flicked her wrist the other way as a huge gust of wind knocked the boat hard.
"How did you do that?" Vax asked.
"I've been trained so much that I just think and it acts, normally, unless it's unstable. We'll train with some small stuff. By the time we reach wherever they're going, you'll be able to mess with the humans." Sashy smiles. She looks ahead to the vast ocean.
A few weeks go by of training at night. Vax is able to make the waves big enough to reach the boat's deck. "Good job. You're improving alot. Now we'll work on wind. Use the same motions but think of the air. Visualize a feather or leaf flowing through the wind." Sashy says demonstrating the motion. Vax did just that but was having a hard time.
"I can't do this." He cried as tears came out. Sashy approached him to calm him down. Vax's eyes widened with fear.
"Vax, I'm not going to hurt you." She brings him into a hug. "Air is the hardest element for most of us. I have issues to this day producing it." She coos calming him down.
"I'm sorry." He hugs her back.
"For what?" She questions him. She pulled back wiping his tears away.
"For fearing you just now. Warren would beat me if I didn't do it right." Vax puts a hand behind her head. They inched closer slowly until their lips met. She pushed him on the deck. She pulled back panting. "That was amazing." Vax breathed out. She straddled him holding back.
"Vax do you feel a natural pull? Like you'll do anything for that person?" She asks looking into his eyes. "Oh my god his eyes are crimson red. I'm getting lost in them." She thought fighting the urge to kiss him again.
"I felt it the moment I saw you. I jumped up there to save you. When I heard that you didn't want to go anywhere outside of your room near Niles, I knew it was a bad situation." He says cupping her cheek.
"I heard your thoughts in the cabin." Sashy smiled.
"Now, are you going to kiss me or let me back up?" Vax laughs. Sashy wiggles her ass causing him to moan. "You're the first woman that's gotten me hard or horny in any way."
"Well honestly Creed is crazy. I'm just insane. Isn't hard and horny the same thing?" She wiggles some more. Vax hissed at her and a hand on her ass. She slowly gets off of him and looks at the ocean. Vax sits up and looks at her face.
"You can be horny and not hard and vice versa. Horny is the mentality part of it, while being hard is of course the physical aspect of it." He paused for a moment and looked out at the ocean. "How long have you trained?" He asked trying to guess the answer himself.
"I've trained since I was twelve when I ran from Niles the first time." She remembers running away and staying with various people.
"How old are you now?" He asks curious.
"s**t! I wanna say around twenty in human years at least." She laughs thinking really hard. "To be honest, I don't remember. I never kept track after Niles had Zash." She laughs smiling.
"Oh my god that's the first time I've heard you laugh. It's so beautiful." Vax smiled inching to her.
"Let's catch some sleep. A storm is coming." Sashy says leaning on Vax. He smiled and wrapped an arm around her shoulder.
"Goodnight my Sundaze." Vax kissed her forehead and soon fell asleep.
A few days later storm clouds approached their course. "All passengers get below the deck!" The captain yelled.
"Vax we have to help." Sashy yells going to the bow. A fifty foot wave came, and Vax pushed it back.
"How are we supposed to do that?" He asks.
"I'll concentrate on the winds while you focus on the water!" She yells as the wind picked up and rain fell.
"I'm not ready. I can't do it." He shouts.
"Vax, you are ready. If you weren't ready, then I wouldn't have you help." She smiles. He nods and keeps pushing the water back. Sashy placed her hands in front of her and concentrates with all of her strength. Her eyes turned to a glowing red. "Mando vobis spiritum meum imperio parere! Ego nunc quod dico facies!" Sashy shouts in Latin as her black wings came out. (I command you, the wind, to obey my will and command! Do as I say now!) The sailors stared at her as the wind died down and the sky cleared.
"Sashy!" Vax cried catching her as she collapsed.
"Is everyone okay?" She whispered feeling tears drop on her face. "I'm not dying. I haven't master wind fully yet, so I get drained easily. Once the sun hits me, I'll be better." She weakly smiled. Vax smiled carrying her to a place where they'll be alone.
"Lad, just do you know we're the only ones that saw it. Your secret is safe with us." The captain said. Vax nodded cradling Sashy in his arms.
"I'm here Sundaze." Vax whispered.
"Vax, I'm just tired. Let me either use you lap as a pillow or sit me up to use your shoulder. Your choice." She huffed. Vax laughed as he adjusted his legs to be used as a pillow. She breathed slow and deep.
"She's finally asleep. I'm going to try to sleep myself." Vax thought placing a hand on her stomach.
The second month of the journey was better. No storms came but the passengers grew wary of Vax and Sashy. Rumors are growing like wildfire about them using witchcraft. Sashy had the wind going full speed to get off the boat quicker. "I don't get it. We saved their lives." Vax says in disbelief.
"We're not like them. We are magical or to them witches." Sashy looks at the ocean. Vax placed an arm around her waist.
"I can't believe that she's acting like a harlot." A woman tells her friend. Sashy finds the captain.
"What can I do for you lass?" The captain asks.
"How far away are we from land?" She asks.
"I'ld say another day or two."The captains blinks.
"Thank you. My companion and I will leave to night." Sashy bows and heads back to Vax.
"Hey what's up Sundaze?" Vax smiles.
"We're flying tonight. As soon as everyone is sleeping, we'll take off." She hugs him.
"Sashy, are you okay?" Vax asks rubbing her back.
"Not really. If we stay, they'll turn us in. If we leave, we'll have at least a few days of peace." She sighs pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Okay we'll leave." He says kissing her forehead.
Night fell as the stars came out. Sashy stood at the bow. Vax stood next to her. Her black wings came out as Vax's rusty brown wings came out. She extended her hand to Vax. "Let's go." He smiled accepting it. She flapped her wings and pushed off. It took only a few hours for them to reach the shoreline.
"Let's rest at this huge oak tree." She suggests.
"I'm holding you tonight." Vax says heading to the tree. Sashy followed landing beside him.
"Are you afraid that I'll run off." She joked.
"Yes, I am. You scared me when you did that." Vax growls pulling her to him.
"I'm sorry. I didn't want you to get mixed up in my problems." She says inching to his lips. "Why am I so drawn to him?" She thought as she felt his breath on her lips.
"Sashy are you okay?" Vax whispers feeling her lips brush against his. She nods a yes and kissed him pushing him into the tree. She grew more lustful with each kiss.
"Vax, I want to know you more." She breathes panting. Vax lifted her up and sat down on the grass. Her eyes flashed red.
"You need to feed." He brings his wrist up to her mouth.
"I won't feed from you." She shakes her head no. Vax bit his own wrist and kissed her. She returned to normal and fell asleep on his lap.
