“Yvann! Let the poor woman go for goodness’ sake!”
Yvann’s teeth gritted with each other as his brother’s voice growled inside the room. His head tilted to shot Valian a deadly gaze, while his hands remained on Christel’s shoulders. Valian threw the same intense look at him before his eyes traveled to meet Christel’s terrified eyes.
Sleep... Valian whispered to her in her mind and in just a snap, Christel was already unconscious and Yvann had no choice but to curse while carrying her back to the bed. His brother was really getting into his nerves. May his mum forgive him if one day, he’ll finally lose control and get his brother killed. He didn’t intend to do that, but Valian kept on crossing the line.
