“The locked collar, as well as the cuffs at wrists and ankles are, I think you already know, most symbolic of your situation, Mister North,” Ames said quietly as she wrapped her sharply tipped fingers around Eddie’s neck, measuring the space between the heavy steel collar and his flesh.
“The sooner you realize that you are permanently ours, the sooner you will regain perhaps some small measure of personal freedom,” she continued. “All slaves on these premises are kept in chains, but full subservience is rewarded by some degree of leniency.”
