Doris Samantha Henderson was a mistake.
Mistakes always have a cost. Sometimes it’s actually a benefit, but usually mistakes have a negative impact on someone or something. In her case, the mistake resulted from two of ME’s hunter-gatherers making a snap judgement about the potential of a young man named David to become a transgender female. That is, they assumed, (based on what they saw and heard), that David, who was a normal young man of twenty-two, was an ideal candidate for gender change and sale as a female.
