Niklaus' POV Valerie was super quiet through out the ride. She was not crying any longer, but she had her head on the headrest of the seat, her eyes shut tightly. I knew that she was in no mood to talk, so I let her be. I was going to drive her home, but I changed my mind. Instead I drove her to a place where I used to come anytime I was feeling down, especially back then when Amelia was opposing everything I did. Valerie didn't even notice our change of destination until I stopped the car. Her eyes fluttered open, and she turned to me, confused at our surrounding. Before us was a field of wild flowers, blooming vibrantly and swaying gently to the breeze, the beautiful colourful meadow I call my sanctuary.
