Valerie's POV
Klaus and I walked quietly up the stairs to our room. I knew that he was angry at me, and it made me uneasy. When we entered the room, he locked the door and faced me.
"What Tania said, is it true?"
I lowered my gaze before I nodded.
"Why?" He sounded disappointed, and I felt a pang in my heart. I didn't like that at all.
"I was trying to help, I'm sorry." I murmured.
"You don't trust in me or what? You know that is against the rules." His voice was laced with hurt and betrayal, and I didn't expect my heart to hurt the way it did.
He never liked the idea that I saw Tania in the first place, but now... I hated how he felt like I betrayed him.
