Settling in ——episode 2

We sat and a watch some of the training and I see a woman with fiery red hair blowing in the wind she is dressed in a white coat Connor turns and says Helena I was just going to come find you. -she is very pretty and curtly she smiles at me and ask if we could go to the pack hospital and run some rest . I look for approval and my father asks Clair to go with me that he had to discuss things with David and the rest of the higher pack members.

I was happy that the doctor was a woman . I wouldn’t feel comfortable with a male doctor just yet but I was even more happier that Clair was going to be with me .

We walk across the beautiful manicured lawnn to the sizable pack hospital. As we walk I see what seems to be a school with a playground out front I see a beautiful small church and I think that’s a library . Opal is howling in excitement I guess she she is enjoying all the sights . We make our way inside go into the hospital room I get change into a gown and Clair helps to tie it in the back for me. Dr Helena asks me to have a seat on the examination table she makes me feel very comfortable. She has a nurse come in to draw blood . Easy enough. She hooks me up to some machines she and Clair are quite for sometime while she looks over my vitals . My mind wonders Doctor Helena voice breaks me out of my trance of listening to all the beeping of the machines .

Dr. Helena

would it be alright if you shifted for me so I can see your wolf and it’s fur please Hannah. I ask if they can step out so I can shift alone . I do so and opal makes a quick deep gruff sound to let them know I was ready . They both come back in and are in awe mouths open and wide eyes. I was poked and hair was pulled more blood taken it lasted about an hour and finally they said I could shift back . I do so and Doctor Helena thanks me for being so patient through it all. She tells me to get dressed and that she will have the blood and fur results back in a hour . Clair and I leave we walk alone in silence for s few minutes I stop walking and begin to tell her what David had told me earlier in the morning that it was ok for me to call Conor dad from now on . Clair smiled at me and said I know he told me already . We both love you very much Hannah and we are sworn to protect you . It is natural for you to want to be with your father you need to fix the paternal bond you have with him the more time you are here with your pack and your father the more powerful your father daughter bond becomes he will be able to mindlink you and you the same. Before I knew it We where talking for over an hour and Clair couldn’t be more proud of me for being so brave and taking control of my emotions and this whole situation . My need to learn and my sensitivity to others emotions causes me to have a clear mind and focus on that person needs at the time . I see Claire’s eyes glaze over and she is back looking at me in seconds with concern she says we need to meet your father and doctor Helena in his office right now. I don’t bother asking what’s going on I can tell Clair either can’t or won’t tell me . So we hurry in more silence until we get to the office. Clair opens the door and we walk in dr Helena is sitting in one of the two chairs in front of my fathers desk he ask me to sit in the other Clair stand beside me I can feel the sense of concern in dr Helena and my fathers faces . I look at them both pleading for Someone to say something . Opal needs to know also is their something wrong with us she lets out a tiny huff I open my mouth and somewhat shout What is it? My father begins to say we got all the results back Hannah snd theirs something that we can not explain. I plead again what is it .

Doctor Helena -

in all my years I have never come across anything quit like it. My fathers chimes in as says it’s your fur Hannah . What’s wrong with it .. well we are not sure if anything is wrong with it . The silver highlights your wolf fur possesses is actually wolfs bane and silver it some how is part of you . Clair gasps i grab her hand. My father says. That’s not all Doctor Helena has also detected wilfsbane and silver in your blood well it’s in all of your blood it is part of you Hannah it is part of your DNA .

Hannah-

I sit in shock holding onto Claire’s hand she squeezes it tight. I shake my head in confusion am I sick am I going to die I ask . Those two specific things separately can gravely wound a werewolf a slowly poison the blood stream causing a painful death . Together would be irreversible and certain death. My mind quickly focuses and Opal says our mother died from this exact combination how did we live ? My father sees I have mind linked my wolf and asks what I heard. He could see the distraught in my face. I quickly repeat what opal has told me. And they all look at each other. Dr Helena put her hand to her mouth my goddess she is right. .

Dr Helena-

Hannah had just told us what her wolf has said my mind is racing I’m trying to figure out how this possible . My hand goes to my mouth in surprise. I think I know I say in my head. She is right Connor . Your Luna was murdered with that combination it was almost unbelievable to think that she had died but the new born didn’t . A mother’s love for her child is unmeasured and everlasting . She held on long enough to give birth to assure her child was born. The wolfsbane and silver must have been past through Alegras blood and into the umbilical cord but it was severed before she was consumed by it. Instead of killing her it must have become intertwined with her DNA. Connor The moon goddess must have spared you the pain of losing your mate and your pup at the same time she has blessed you with a unique child we have much to learn about you Hannah I’m sure you have some powers you have yet to learn what they are.to say the least you are special for sure.

Connor-

I am just as shocked as you Hannah . We will figure it out together I promise . Hannah finally asks if all wolves have powers . I tell her no just ones from strong Alpha blood lines and special kind of wolves . Their are so many different kinds of special wolves that you will learn about. But for us our family’s blood line have had wolves with one or more abilities a faster healing capability ,shapeshifter, super speed . Mind reading and controlling others and their emotions . Her eyes widen and ask if I have any abilities. Yes Hannah I do I have a few I have super speed and the ability to climb walls. I also am stronger than most wolves . We have yet to learn how many abilities a wolf can harness or how many abilities there are . I think we need to end this here you have much to do for school and training . I Have to get things ready for the training games we are hosting this year . It will be a special one for sure by now I’m sure word has gotten out that you are alive and back home. wolves from all the other territories will be wanting to meet you . Please ladies let me get to work . Oh Hannah you are special to me no matter what!

Clair-

As Hannah and I leave Alphas office we can’t help but smile in wonder what has just been said to us . This sweet innocent girl is incredible she has no idea how very rare and special she is . I have to let her figure out things on her own but if she needs me I will support her anyway possible. Hannah i know this is a lot and all new for you but you must take lead on this . No one knows what powers you posses you will have to do a little soul searching with opal to figure it out on your own . I will help you anyway I can but for now it’s all up to you my sweet girl.

Hannah-

I understand Clair and I’m sure I will have plenty of questions for you and my father but I can do this I feel it in my bones. I can see Opal is jumping in my head with delight we got this Hannah she says. I smile with how excited he is . Opal really is a wonderful wolf she is reassuring and attentive I can’t wait to see what she does in training. I get back to Clair Ok I have to go get dressed for training I’ll see you later at dinner. I give her a kiss on the cheek and jog to my room to get ready.

Connor-

I called a meeting after the girls had left with my Beta Delta and Gamma to delegate all that needs to be done for the training games . Beta Dominic can you over see the security make sure all the other packs stay in line and no one is to enter the pack house unless summoned by me . Delta Owen I need you to stay on top of all the omegas who are finish building the temporary housing for all our guests. Gamma David and Shane I need you you both to keep an eye on Hannah as well as Alpha Ezekiel and his son Drake of the black lake pack . He has personally requested to stay in the pack house due to his mate being so far along with his new pup. It’s a bit strange since she has been pregnant before at another training game and did not need special accommodations but maybe with her age it might be a delicate pregnancy . It’s just a precaution it it’s one that’s the most important since Hannah is now here. I will also let the gamma mates know to tend to the food services and the accommodations for black moon. That is all gentlemen . In two days time the other packs will start to come and this all needs to go smoothly.

Hannah-

It’s been a week or so since I have been here I think I am pretty settled in so far I’m still meeting new friends but I think I may have found three of the best wolves in my school . We just clicked right away. 16 year old Jess is a life savor she is Shane and Biancas the only pup they had. They had her fairly young 19 I think. they found each other right after Bianca shifted for the very first time at 18. they have been together ever since they are wonderful parents to have. My favorite thing about Jess she gets my type of funny and we have the same sarcasm . Oh yes Jess also has met her mate he is one of the wolves in our little group of friends Charlie he’s 17 and he is not the typical self absorbed jock that you see in every school he’s actually nice and pretty funny and is the sweetest when it comes to Jess. Then theirs Becca she is the most independent one out of us she doesn’t rely on anyone but herself she seems lonely at times I feel but most of the time she is all smiles. she does have a soft spot for us loners and the not so typical teenage cliques. She is the oldest of all of us . It makes me a little sad to think that maybe her loneliness I pick up on is from not yet finding a mate to keep her from getting to much into her own head. But she’s still very young she will graduate at the end of the year and maybe then when she goes to college she will find her mate and she won’t be so lonely. About 5 days ago some other wolves started coming from all over the country for the training games . I found out they usually stay for two weeks almost like a vacation of sorts . They come and go as they please some have settled into their make shifts homes for the next several days most are still slowly making their arrival since the games don’t actually start for another two days . Becca , Jess and I have gone on nightly runs to let our wolves get accounted and some well deserved fun from all the training we do. Charlie lets us have our girl time. Becca’s wolf is named Dawn and she has Dark brown fuel with whites spots on the top of her ears and on her front paws . Jess’s wolf is Ally and she is a red wolf with hints of black undertone . Shes a Ginger for sure . And of course Charlie’s wolf Gunner is all gray he’s very fast but I have seen him let Jess win a few races. We all walk around the gaming arena looking st all the best of the best that have shown up so far in their sparing matches . I think our very own betta and delta may have some stiff competition. Both Dominic and Owen have yet to find mates maybe this years games will bring them theirs.

Dominic-

Shane, David Connor has informed me that Alpha Ezikiel and his mate Mary are arriving today their other two children are coming early the day games begin they had to stay back and deal with some schooling for his son Drake and his daughter Alana was to wait and accompany him here. Shane’s mentions he has not seen Alana in a few years I have heard she is a beauty and has not yet found a mate .I clear my throat we are not here to gossip Shane come in man let’s just get through this years games and get back to normal pack events I chuckle and playfully slap him

In the back a couple times to know I wasn’t mad at his information but it’s about work right now not play. I trust we can get everything wrapped up by the end of the day I need to let Kanin out for a run and to hunt before all the gets arrive so I’m not distracted . Ok report back in a couple hours . Alpha Ezikiel

Come on Mary you really had to bring so many bags with you . You have only been wearing a few certain comfortable outfits the last few weeks I like fun at my very pregnant mate. You will promise to take it easy no over doing it rest as much as you need . I will reserve private seething for Alanas competition so you don’t have to worry about standing in the crowd. They should be her in a day or two . I should have stayed to accompany Drake instead of Alana she should be hear practicing instead of babysitting him.

Mary-

My Alpha I need you a bit more these days than our hair brained son. I give Ezekiel a side smile and giggle he just rolls his eyes at me . Alana will be fine she has trained for months she deserves a few days off. I can’t say she won’t be a bit stressed when she arrives though those two have been bickering for weeks . Those to will have to figure things out before this pup is born I will need their help . Ezekiel walks over to me and kisses the top of my head and instantly relaxes me I will speak with them I promise. Thank you I think I am going to take a nap I’m exhausted from our drive . Can you apologize for my absence to Alpha Connor when you meet with him in a little while. I will my love have a good sleep.

Hannah-

Me Jess and Becca make our way back into the pack house after our run . We are always starving after our shifts and run. We are hoping and giggle walking not paying much attention I’m first to turn the corner rather quickly towards the hall ways and staircase that lead to the packs quarters and kitchen . I didn’t even see him until I felt him it was like I hit a brick wall I Stumble back into Becca and Jess the kind of shove me back off of them and bow their heads I quickly do the same as I apologize for not paying attention . The extremely large man with long all gray hair and with a black and gray beard just as long. Raises a thick eyebrow and nods. In a rush are we girls he grumbles . The other two are standing just behind me I am sort of forced to apologize again for our hast and lack of paying attention to our surroundings. I’m sorry Alpha we had just finished up a run and we were headed to the kitchen for a snack . He looks at me with squinting eyes like he’s trying to figure something out. He asks Do you three live in the pack house . I tell him just two of us . Well are you going to introduce yourselves then he says again in annoyance. Becca speaks first I’m Becca sir I live on pack grounds with my parents , Jess introduces her self . I’m jess I’m the daughter of the packs gammas Shane and Bianca she bows her head again. He bends down and gets uncomfortably close to me and says and who may I ask are you young lady. I feel like he is trying to intimidate me but it’s not working opal is on alert says who does he think he is trying to scare a young girl . I stand up straight and puff out my chest say with an assertive tone I am Hannah Strongreen Daughter of Alpha Connor Strongreen of the silver moon pack this is my home sir who may I ask are you!!!! Becca and Jess both grab on either elbows to reign me back in. The large man straightens right up and bows his head well it’s lovely to meet you Hannah I’m Alpha Ezekiel of the Blake lake pack . I have a meeting with your father right now I’ll be sure to let him know we have met . Good night girls and he saunters off into the dark hall way.. Becca sound me around and intently says what I’m the actual f*ck was that Hannah why would you challenge an alpha . Oh come on Becks he was trying to scare me but it didn’t work am I suppose to be scared of him? She sighs Hannah he is one of the strongest and powerful alphas around just like your father. You should have shown him a little respect . Sh*t I didn’t. realize . I’m new how was I supposed to know who he was .. Jess joins in well you could have just submitted like we did it wouldn’t have been to awkward she laughs. I’m sorry guys I’ll try to read the room better next time . Now come on Let’s go eat.

Ezekiel-

As I walk away I ask my wolf Well that was something now wasn’t it. Henrik sensed something about that one before we knew it was Connors daughter. She is a smart ass Henrik growls . She is isn’t she. she’s got some bite to her. I finish chatting with Henrik before knocking on Connors office door. Heading in to talk over some pack business .I here him say come in he stands with his hand out for a hand shake. I walk in and greet him. Ezekiel it’s been too long he says. Henrik huffs in irritation. We just have to get through these trading games and not have to deal with him for a long while after. I don’t hate the man we just have different views in pack politics and it’s never going to change. We do the normal small talk and get right to business . So has any other Alphas or their sons gotten back to you about being the chosen mate to my daughter Alana . He answers with a soft no I’m sorry not yet. This is where me and him differ .. I Do not care if you are a destined mate or a chooses mate . I just want my daughter married off ASAP. She needs to mate and have pups of her own. I have gone through with charade of her becoming a pack warrior and not settling down like a woman should . She needs to know her place. Connor clears his throat Ezekiel isn’t that seem a bit extreme she is still very young she could find her chosen mate in the next few years. But what’s wrong with wanting to be a warrior she is quite good at it he gives side smile and laugh. ENOUGH I say with a raised voice . I steady myself I’m sorry Alpha but that’s not what i want for her. She is my daughter and I will do with her as I see fit. Speaking of daughters I had just meet yours right before our meeting . His eyes widen and he looks uneasy . But he try’s to hide it it’s to late I have seen his weakness. And it’s her . I hope she was prudent he smirks. Oh on the contrary she was a bit accretive to say it nicely. I can see I hit a nerve but he plays it off . He Laughs well she’s young and of alpha blood can you blame her. She has just only recently had her first shift so I’m sure it’s hormones.. I give a curt smile I must take my leave and check my Mary. Oh before I forget will it be possible to get a private booth to watch Alana’s match For Mary. Yes of course it will be reserved for your family.

Connor-well that was painful huh Stryker . The nerve of Ezekiel he doesn’t scare me he just annoys me I can’t believe he thinks so little of his daughter . Alana Is one of the best warriors in his pack but he rather her bare foot and pregnant away from him . Ugh and meeting Hannah with out me present made me a little unsettled. he’s a big burly man . did he scare her? Stryker growls . I’m sure he didn’t I try to calm Stryker still unsure myself . But to say she was accretive made me laugh out loud I wish I had seen her in action sounds just like her momma.

Owen-

So to day is the day the games begins at noon. Hey Dom I think this is the year neither of us have mates . If I don’t find my mate soon think I will take a chosen mate. HEY shithead are you listening to me I’m trying to be sincere here. You are older than me and have not found your mate what are you doin man? Dom snaps at me Really This O? . I know that a mate is important. Our jobs are just as important Owen. I know I know i say I just think we deserve our mates that’s all we have been waiting a long time .

Dominic-

Owen I’m sorry man I know your right . It’s just I have been thinking maybe the moon goddess may have forgotten me . You still have time . But I’m kind of older for not having a mate yet most wolves have found their mate . Owen looks at me puzzled what’s wrong with you I ask. He looks at me uncomfortably are you a virgin? WHAT! No you i***t I just haven’t found my mate my fated mate . If I have to I guess I will be forced to find a chosen mate . But all the she wolves I’ve been with just haven’t been enough for me. Let’s go Owen enough of this sappy bullsh*t We have work to do and We will have our fun during training games with or with out a mate.

Alana-

It’s finally here the morning of the games I’m so excited but my thoughts come to a halt when I notice him walking away from me. Thanks a lot you pain in the ass It’s bad enough I had to stay home with you so could make up a physics test and miss the pre games but now you can’t even help me with my bags. He didn’t even turn around just lifts his hand over his head and gives me the middle finger .my wolf Sheba and I are fuming at this point and I scream into the pack house entrance . You spoiled brat As I do this poor guy walks right into my line of fire that was aimed at Drake. Oh i I’m so sorry I was screaming at my younger brother he left me here with all these bags he chuckled at me and introduced himself . He was the Delta of the silver moon pack . He was kind enough to help me with the bags and told me to settle in and to come find him when I was ready he would be happy to show me around . I thanked him and set off to find my little s**t of a brother . I found him in my parents room . I storm into their room what the hell Drake what is wrong with you. He glares at me oh come on Alana what’s your problem it was a few bags get over yourself . Sheba growled and his wolf Rukus growled back I was about to pounce and kick the ever living s**t out of him when I heard the low hard grumble of my father wolf Henrik . SILENCE . What is with you two . We’re you really about to fight in front of your pregnant mother and in another’s pack house. Listen carefully up both of you will not embarrass me or your mother this week Or their will be consequences. My mother stands and walks over to my father puts her hand on his chest and he calms instantly. How she does that makes my heart melt . She tells us we need to stop all this bickering at once . She has had enough of this back and fourth it’s going nowhere. You are brother and sister act like it . You will stop this it ends here and now once you leave this room it’s is no longer do you understand me. She was calmCool and collected. She had a way of making her self understood with our being harsh or mean like our father would be. I apologized to them and agree . Drake shrugged his shoulders and she eyes him again Drake I need you to say it . Yes mother it ends here I’m am sorry . I leave to settle into my room Drake stays.
