NICHOLAS’S POV The first thing that hit me when I opened my eyes was the pain in my head. A sharp, merciless pain tore through me, reminding me of the alcohol I drowned myself in the night before. For a few seconds, I couldn’t move. The sunlight that entered through the tall windows was sharp and almost blinded my eyes. My tongue was dry, and my throat felt raw.
