I was vaguely aware of Elijah stopping the car, limping outside and grabbing Cassie from my arms.
We all followed behind him as he burst through the hospital door shouting,
“Doctor! This is an emergency.”
It was almost three am by the time we reached so most of the staff were yawning but Elijah’s arrival shook them out of their sleep.
Elijah was covered in blood and put Cassie down on the nearest stretcher as the doctor came running towards him.
“What happened?” The doctor asked with widened eyes as he saw all the blood and reached for Elijah’s arm, thinking he was the one needing medical attention, but Elijah grabbed the doctor by his collar.
“Treat her and ensure she gets well soon. If you cant do that, I’ll find a new pack doctor.”
