Loud moans of Ava filled the room as Damien thrusted in and out of her.
"Damien, oh..." Ava's voice trailed off.
Ava's eyes suddenly widened as Damien's thrusts intensified.
"Damien, please slow down...please" she whispered, her voice trembling but he only continued.
Ava's body tensed, her nails digging into the sheets. She had expected pain, but not to this extent.
"Damien, it hurts" she whispered, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes.
"Please, Damien...it's too much," she said and he slowed down his thrusts.
"Did I hurt you?"
Ava nodded, tears spilling down her cheeks. "I didn't expect...it to hurt so much"
"It's done." he stated flatly.
"It hurts," she whispered, still crying.
Damien stared at her for a moment before he turned away. "You'll get used to it."
Ava's body relaxed, relief mingled with hurt. She felt like a mere obligation.
"Get some rest, Ava. We have a family event to attend tomorrow."
"Family event?" Aria repeated.
"The Silver Family Tradition Ceremony," Maverick replied. "It's an important family gathering."
"What's expected of me?"
"You'll stand by my side, and we'll honor our family's heritage together" he said and Ava gently nodded.
She made to rest her head on the pillow when Damien spoke up.
"You're not sleeping here, Ava."
Ava's head jerked up from the pillow.
"D-Damien, I thought..."
"Have you forgotten our agreement? Separate quarters, remember?"
Ava's cheeks burned as she clutched the sheets to her chest. "I wasn't thinking..."
"Get dressed. You'll sleep in your own quarters tonight," he said but Ava made no reaction to move.
"Get dressed," he repeated and she nodded.
"Send Grace up," Damien said to the intercom and minutes later, the door opened and a maid entered.
"Yes, sir?"
"Grace, escort Mrs. Silvee to her quarters," Maverick instructed.
Ava's face burned with embarrassment. She couldn't walk properly, not after...what happened. And certainly not in front of the maid.
"Wait," Ava said, clutching the sheets.
Grace's eyes moved to Ava's exposed shoulders. "Shall I assist you, ma'am?"
Ava merely nodded.
Grace gently helped Ava sit up. Her face burned with embarrassment as Grace wrapped a robe around her shoulders.
"Let's get you settled, ma'am," Grace said softly in avmotherly tone and Ava nodded, wincing in pain as she stood.
Damien just stared at her, his expression unreadable.
"Thank you, Grace. Now see her to her quarters." With Grace's support, Ava made her way to her quarters, each step aching. She felt like a fragile, broken thing.
Once inside, Grace helped Ava into bed, handing her a glass of water and some pain relievers.
"Is there anything else I can get for you, ma'am?" Grace asked.
Ava shook her head. "No, thank you, Grace."
As Grace left, Ava let the tears fall, her body and heart aching. She felt trapped, bound to a man who saw her as a duty, not a person.
"What have I gotten myself into?" she asked, rhetorically.
And then Damien...how would she explain her job to him? She was a teacher, not some socialite. Abandoning her students wasn't an option.
Would he understand? Or would he demand she quit?
Ava's mind moved to the alert she received a day ago. $500,000. A monthly reminder of her deal with the Silver family.
"Once I produce an heir, I'm gone." she vowed silently.
By then, would she have saved enough to start anew? The monthly payments may stop once she fulfilled her duty but Damien already assured her. She's not banking on that though.
"Two years" she calculated. "Will $12 million be enough to start over?"
She will endure this for her future, for her child's future.
With all these thoughts in her head, she finally drifted to sleep.
Damien left his room, seeking solitude. He descended to the backyard, the cool night air enveloping him. The sound of gently lapping water drew him to the swimming pool.
He walked barefoot, his steps quiet on the tile floor. A wine glass filled with amber liquid dangled from his fingers.
Reaching the pool's edge, Damien stopped, staring into the water. The reflection of the moon danced on the surface.
Damien took a sip of his wine as his thoughts drifted to Ava, wondering what prompted her to agree to this proposal.
He had never wanted to marry. The thought of being tied down suffocated him. Yet, his late father's demands had left him no choice.
His father's words echoed in his mind.
"Get married and get settled, produce an heir, and secure our family's legacy."
Once Ava produced an heir, Damien's decision was made. Divorce would swiftly follow. No need to wait two year.
Ava woke up, her body still aching from the previous night. She slowly swung her legs over the side of the bed, wincing as she stood up. She looked around the room, taking in the elegant decor, but her gaze quickly fell upon the bed.
Blood stains.
Ava's cheeks turned red as she approached the bed, her heart racing. She hesitated for a moment before lifting the sheets and the sight confirmed her suspicions.
Her hands instinctively went to her panties, it was stained too.
Ava's virginity was lost.
Taking her mind off from it, she headed to the bathroom. The shower rained down on her, washing away the remnants of last night's tears and thoughts.
As she stepped out, Ava wrapped herself in a towel, feeling refreshed.
"Dressing up for the ceremony." she reminded herself.
Ava looked around, realizing none of her dresses were here.
"What am I going to wear?"
She opened the walk-in closet, and her jaw dropped.
Rows of designer dresses, shoes, and accessories lined the shelves. Ava's eyes widened as she took in the luxurious display.
The closet was a fashion paradise. Filled with stunning dresses with exquisite designs. Ava's fingers brushed against the fabrics, marveling at the beauty.
A knock was heard on the door.
"Come in," Ava said.
Grace entered, carrying a tray with breakfast.
"Good morning, ma'am. I see you're up and about."
Ava nodded, still wrapped in the towel.
"Thank you, Grace. I was just...admiring the closet."
"Mr. Silver had it filled with the finest designs, especially for you, ma'am."
"That's very...thoughtful of him," Ava said.
Grace began laying out a sumptuous breakfast spread.
"Shall I help you get ready for the ceremony, ma'am?"
Ava nodded gratefully.
"Please, Grace. I have no idea on what to wear." Grace smiled.
"Don't worry, ma'am. I've got just the perfect fit for you," Grace said as she took a chic cocktail dress.
"Perfect, ma'am! This designer dress exudes elegance and sophistication."
Ava's eyes widened as she exclaimed. "I love it, Grace! But will it be suitable for the Silver's Family Tradition Ceremony?" Grace nodded.
"Absolutely, ma'am. This dress is both stylish and respectful. You'll make a stunning impression.
Ava slipped into the dress, feeling its silky fabric hug her curves.
Ava sat down and Grace helped her to style her hair and and apply some makeup on her face.
"Thank you, Grace."
"You look breathtaking, ma'am."
Ava glanced at her reflection, looking satisfied.
"Now, Grace, where exactly is the ceremony taking place within the Silver's estate?"
"The ceremony will be held at the main mansion, ma'am. Specifically, in the formal living room," she replied and Ava nodded.
"And what time should I be ready?"
"Mr. Silver requests your presence in the next 30 minutes, ma'am," Grace clarified.
"Thank you, Grace," Ava said quietly.
"Its alright, Mrs. Silver. Everything will fall in place in due time," she finished.
As Grace began to tidy up the room, her eyes fell upon the bloodstained sheets.
"Ma'am..."Grace's voice trailed off, her eyes widening slightly.
"It's...from last night," Ava said, a little embarrassed.
"Do you need any medication, ma'am? Or...help with anything?
"
Ava shook her head, feeling embarrassed. "No, Grace. I'm fine."
Grace nodded understandingly. "I'll have the sheets changed immediately."
Aca nodded gratefully, relieved Grace didn't pry further.
