My heart broke as I stared at Cole. He looked so broken like he didn’t understand why I didn’t want to have him come with me when I go on my quest to find my biological parents. The both of us just sat there in silence, looking out over the forest. This had to e one of the shittiest times for me to want to go away and leave him here. We were so close, but I hated that it felt like we were only dated. I was sure that when I found answers on my parents, they would be able to give me answers as to why my wolf didn’t recognize Cole as my true mate.
