"Come on ... are you ready for this?" Cole said with a smile as he took my hand in his. I asked all the members of our close family to meet up in my brother's office. I took a few deep breaths as we stared at the closed door. I knew all hell was bound to break loose on the other side of this door once I told my parents about my plans. Cole just gave my hand a reassuring squeeze before he opened the door for me to walk through. I walked inside to see Jarrod sitting behind his desk with Jennifer on his lap. Jason and John were sitting on the twin couch and my mom and dad sat down on the triple seater.
Once we walked through the door, everyone's eyes landed on us. At that moment I wanted to turn around and walk away. I didn't want to deal with what my mom and dad would say.
