KNOX I wake up to the feel of something sitting on top of my head. I'm not kidding—there's something on me and I have no idea what it is. I crack an eye open and blink a few times so my vision clears, then focus on looking up. Holy. s**t. My head is pounding like crazy and a groan escapes my lips. I plant my elbows on the bed and raise my torso, and only then does Midnight jump on the bed, stretching his slim little body. Hell, what time is it? It takes me an embarrassingly long time to remember how I got here. Flashes cross my mind, but nothing too detailed.
