My traitorous eyes are burning with tears as I walk away from Knox and I've never felt more idiotic in all my life.
Gosh, what was I seriously expecting? Knox has been an ass from the very beginning, and I should've known better than to let my guard down. I didn't mean for it to happen, but it was something that was out of my control. I've put way too much trust in him and I regret that now.
He's right. This situation has been careening off course for a while now, and his words were exactly what I needed to realize that.
I'm heading toward the bathroom because I need time to cool off before I can be around him again. I'm so mad. I have no reason to feel this way, but I can't help the way I feel.
