The Love Paradox

Chapter Two: Horny Rabbits Bar

        Now I’m not one to go out partying all of the time but of the bars and clubs I’ve heard of the Horny Rabbits before but this would be my first time going to it. Now that’s mostly because its so far out of my way then anything but this club also does have a unique reputation for people hooking up and getting the best s*x in their lives. It also has the reputation as the last place some people have ever been seen. I just hope the first is what I get out of this visit that is if I really had to choose between that and being made to disappear forever.

        Just as I finally got those crazy thoughts out of my head and refocused on the whole reason I was actually going there I was now banking my car in route to a open landing pad near the door. So far so good I’ve got an easy escape route and if nothing goes bad at least I wont have to walk far to get to my car. So with a smile on my face I land my car ever so lightly in the parking spot before killing the engine and exiting the car locking it behind me. Hay it may be a junker but that doesn’t mean I’m just going to leave it to be stolen, it’s my only transportation.

        I slowly walk towards the club with its flashing neon style lights. The sign was two sets of blue humping rabbits facing each other over top of the golden words Horny Rabbits. As for the rest of the building its a black tinted glass building.

        So after looking over the building I decided I’d at least go check the place out and if I’m lucky get some action. With a grin I reach for the door and slowly pull it open and to my surprise the place wasn’t even packed which was extremely odd for how many cars were outside. I step inside allowing the door to shut behind me.

        Looking around I was amazed there seemed to be some kind of animated figures dancing around in front of the windows giving the illusion that the place is packed and hopping. The only thing I could think of is that this club must then be some kind of front, but then why let me in if this was just a front? That’s when a cloaked figure starts towards me.

        “Hello? Am I in the right place?” I ask a the figure got closer to me.

        “Mr. Xavier I’m glade you chose to come speak with us.” replied the figure as they removed their hood, revealing that it was a light skinned lady with a midnight-blue sliver moon tattoo on her forehead with its ends pointing upward, midnight-blue hair with silver streaks and dark-blue eyes. She then held out her right hand and added, “My name is Luna.”

        “Luna, I can see the fake people by the windows working but how do you get away with no people inside seeing as there are cameras everywhere in the world and there is nothing the government doesn’t see.” I asked as I let her lead the way to the back of the large room towards a bar.

        “As James has informed you we have our way with computers and he created a looping video of every club in the world that mixes things so that no one can tell its faked. As for your next question concerning the animatronics, they drop into the floor for in person inspections as well as in closed times.” explained Luna as we approached the bar at which a red haired man with a black star tattoo around his left eye was standing.

        “You must have quite the team of tech on your side.” I commented as I took a seat at the bar.

        “Actually it’s the two of us and our brother Emanuel.” replied the man from behind the bar as he grabbed two glasses from under the counter. “I’m James by the way.”

        “Wait only three of you run this whole club as well as you little computer scheme?” I ask baffled by the concept that just three people where trying to cause a rebellion. Maybe I was wrong to come here.

        “Mr. Xavier I considered the idea of a large group of rebels but in ever attempt of such in the past it has always ended in defeat and failure. Thus we decided it would be best to do this as a family but seeing as my father has never returned nor has our lives changed he must’ve failed.” explained Luna, “Hence the reason to reach out to you. I believe you have what it takes to make the change and keep the hunters off of your back at the same time.”

        “Because of my knowledge of genealogy?” I asked with a raised brow while James poured us drinks.

        “It gives you the advantage to possibly stop multiple key events with one gun shot.”

        “And how exactly do you plan on sending me back in time?” I asked a bit confused.

        “Through the use of a Time-Watch.” replied Luna as she pulled a small box out of her cloak pocket and set it on the bar before taking a sip out of her drink.

        “Time-Watches are a myth besides the hunters are captive of pinpointing disturbances and eliminating them with in seconds how do I out smart the smartest time travelers?” I ask glancing at the box before taking a drink.

        “Simple through planning and preparation. We select a key event and then search out the lineage of all the hunters back to that point. We find the string needed to both eliminate them as well as stop the key event. Its at hat point then that we act.” explained Luna with a charming smile that just made me feel warm and kind of horny.

        “But how will we know it works?” I asked looking around before adding, “Add what if I make it worse?”

        “When we built this club we installed a special cage into it’s walls. No matter what happens in the past the Horny Rabbits will always exist and thus we will be here.” replied James “So do we have a deal?”

        “I don’t know.” I confess as I stand up. “I don’t even understand this who Love Paradox thing nor why exactly you need me.”

        “Then let me explain.” replied Luna with a seductive smile.
