TWENTY-SIX Amlodd and Daphne sat at the small dining table beside a picture window at the end of her compact galley kitchen. She had a tiny but comfortable flat in Pimlico, and Amlodd felt settled almost immediately within the cosy feminine environment. It was early morning and they drank hot chocolate. It was something they shared a liking for, and Daphne would make it for Amlodd if they worked late.
