I took out most of the Vampires with my stealthy brothers hiding in the shadows before they crossed the tree line. I tore throats, snapped spines, and left bodies burned where no one could trace them to me. The Carver clan called it luck. Someone even called it divine protection. They thought it showed their Alpha female’s true strength.
They never saw the Beast watching from the shadows.
