I sat in my car for what felt like an eternity.
I was still in Liam's office parking, but I didn’t know what to do or where to go. I thought I was lost before, but now, I wasn’t even sure what the word to use was.
I dialled the only number that made sense at that moment.
“Peter Lawson speaking,”
“Mr. Lawson. It’s Rio, I have a new development, and it isn’t a good one. On top of investigating David Walker, you need to investigate two other people.”
There was a pause.
“What happened, Rio?”
I explained that I had left his office, then I saw the trio of Walkers near Liam’s office. I left out the voice telling me to go to his office. I stated that I wasn’t sure it was him, so I wanted to confirm. Then the reception confirmed that my fiancé was not Liam Reid, but a relative of Benjam
