The beginning of change

Days passed by and Jack never saw or got reach of Ammy. This one time he was at the apartment, he saw Amara walking out and he stopped her.

Jack: Hey Amara, what's going on with Ammy? She doesn't answer my calls and it's been days now.

Amara: Hey Jack, I honestly don't know what's going on with Ammy but right now she's at work. I will talk to her and find out what's wrong.

Jack: I would really appreciate that.

Jack went back to his apartment still wondering what's going on with his girlfriend.

Amara went back to their workplace and got to Ammy's office

Amara: Girl your boyfriend was at the apartment asking about you, he looked really concerned. Why aren't you answering his calls?

Ammy: Girl I'm tired of this man now, he's always behind me and that's frustrating. I no longer feel him.

Amara: You can't do that to the poor guy, at least call hime and let him know you are okay.

Ammy: I will do that when I find time.

She said that and continued with her work. Amara went out all concerned with the change of her friend.

Day went by and it was now knock off time. When Ammy and Amara arrived at their apartment, they found Amara's boyfriend Sam standing by the door. He disappeared after Amara gave her a capital of R500 000 to start his so called business and after that Amara couldn't reach him for 2 months now.

Sam: Amara baby, can we please talk?

He said kneeling in front of her.

.Amara: What is it that you want to talk about?

Sam: I got scammed all the money you gave me and I was so ashamed to face you. I didn't know how to tell you, I'm sincerely sorry.

Amara: Just get up and leave Sam, I'm done with you!

She walked inside the house sighing. She knew that her boyfriend can be a jerk but she never thought he would go this far. That, that was the end of them cause she had already made peace with him not being in her life anymore cause he honestly did not bring any change to her life. Good riddance right.

Ammy: You are busy with my live life yet there's also trouble in yiur paradise.

She said that laughing and heading to her room. Amara was left shocked as to why would her friend say that.

They slept and woke up the next morning to get ready for work. As they were walking out, they found Jack who seemed like he slept there because he was sleeping.

Ammy: Jack!

She shouted really annoyed. Jack woke up startled and rubbed his eyes.

Ammy: What are you doing here this early in the morning?

Jack: I wanted to see and talk to you before you go to work, I've been trying to calk you with no luck. What's going on my love, you are so distant and you are worying me.

Ammy: You can see that I'm fine and breathing, you can leave now. I have to go to work, some of us have work to do.

She said that leaving him and going to the car where Amara was waiting for her.

Jack could not believe his ears, he thought they were deceiving him. He slowly went back to his house. He sat there and replayed all that happened earlier in his mind. He couldn't believe what her Ammy said to him.

Amara: Ammy, this thing you are doing to Jack is not fair...

Ammy: Please, I don't want to hear anything from you right now.

They got their workplace and went to their separate offices. Amara decided to call Jack and check up on him.

Amara: Hey Jack, are you good?

Jack: Not really, tell me. Is Ammy seeing someone?

Amara: To be honest with you I don't know what's making her like this. And to say I don't know whether she has a boyfriend or not I would be lying to you.

Jack: It's okay and thank you for checking up on me.

They ended thier call. Day went by and they proceeded with their daily duties. Amara was knocking off late today so Ammy had to take a cab back home.

As Ammy was waiting for a cab, a black Audi SUV pulled over by her. A tall, black and good looking man came out of the car.

Man: What is a beautiful lady doing here alone?

Ammy: I'm waiting for a cab.

She said that blushing and looking down. That was a man of her dreams, a man who's independent and well working judging from the car he was driving.

Man: I am Vince, short for Vincent. Do you mind if I take you home?

Ammy couldn't let this chance slip, she agreed and got in the car. They drove to her apartment. On their way they exchanged numbers.

Ammy: Thank you for bringing me.

She said that with a huge smile pasted on her face.

Vince: It's my pleasure. I will call you later then.

As Vince drove off the apartment, he met Amara who looked at him as their cars were passing each other's. Amara was so mad at Ammy for turning on Jack like this but she decided not say anything since Ammy no longer wants to listen to her. She proceeded to get off the car and passed Ammy who was sitting in the lounge. She went to take a shower and cooked. There was silence in the house that day. After Amara dished up she decided to go and sleep. Thoughts about how Jack will hurt when he finds out what Ammy is doing. She decided it was not her place to tell even though Jack asked about it, she decided it's best he finds out for himself. Jack is a good and honest man, he doesn't deserve this kind of pain, she thought to herself. People are so ungrateful.
