I waited on the bed for what felt like hours waiting for Cassian to return. When he finally did, he seemed surprised to see me still in the room. I crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes.
"What was that about?"
He looked taken aback by my tone. "It was one of the scouts. He called to inform me that Rowan and his clan are on the move."
"To where?" I asked with less venom in my voice.
"Not sure yet. They are tailing him now."
"And why did you have to leave the room to discuss that? What took so long?"
He glanced at the floor and then back at me.
"We were discussing a plan of attack."
This didn't surprise me, but it made me upset that I wasn't a part of the planning.
"Why couldn't you plan in here with me? Or take me with you?"
He sighed. "Winter, we've talked about this-"
