My body is buzzing with nerves as we pull up in front of the massive packhouse. I’ve only been inside the packhouse a handful of times. Luna Elise hadn’t made it a very hospitable place to be. Most people avoided the packhouse unless absolutely necessary to avoid her rants and bouts of anger. Besides the time I went with Mrs. Lopez, I only came here one other time; the day that everything changed for me and I thought my world fell apart.
Sydney gave me the creeps and he had a habit of following me around every time we crossed paths. I avoided interacting with him as much as possible, which meant I avoided the packhouse as much as possible.
