I shook my head, “I don’t know what to even talk about.” “You can just curse him out to me. I’ll listen and add in some colorful adjectives for you.” I chuckle softly, “I’m not really a curser.” “Want me to teach you how?” he jokes. “I’m good. Thanks for the offer though.” “Anytime,” he laughs. We sat in comfortable silence for a while. I’m resting my cheek on my folded knees and rocking back and forth on the floor, Ruth humming mindlessly in the back of my head. Liam is picking lint off the old blanket, examining each piece with disgust. It’s a filthy,old blanket, but it helps to ward off the lingering cold in the small room. We could probably start a fire, but I’m comfortably huddled beneath my mink blanket and in the fluffy robe. Without the wind, I no longer notice the chill. L
