Back in Arbal, a couple of hours before the victory in Stadelitz….
The first attack came at the most unexpected time of the hour as Lilac woke up during her rest. Both were in their werewolf form (with Lilac had lost her ability to transform to a human form) when they perked their ears up and heard the noises they ever heard. They sounded unlike any animals they knew, not with all the shrieks and roars that sounded like a mix of them. One of the guards quickly rouse the rest of them as they prepared themselves to defend the town. Both Lotte and Lilac were already on the front line, behind the wall they made for cover. Lotte readied her sword as Lilac readied her rifle.
“Here they come,” said Lotte as she let out a snarl. “Ready?”
“How about the ward?”
