Earl and Masha stood before the king, they had been reported to him by Elsa.

"None of you is saying a word. Who authorized you to feed Sephora while she's under punishment?" Alpha Leon questioned them again.

They glanced at themselves.

"No one, your majesty." Masha replied.

Elsa stood by the side glaring at them, she had sworn to deal with anyone that goes against her wish because of Sephora. The hatred she has on her will be bestowed to the person.

Alpha Leon stood on his feet. "I don't have much time to spend with any of you here, as I have many other things to deal with."

He had sent the guards to go call him the beta's, and they will be in his chamber soonest.

"Nykon, gather all the workers in this palace. I'm losing important stuff." He uttered.

Elsa twisted her face. She wondered how important the stuff is that he wouldn't order a punishment for the two workers brought to his custody.

The maids and guards gathered in his chamber. They were all ears to hear him out.

"Why not conclude the situation of this first, my king." Elsa uttered.

He didn't mind sparing her a glance.

"I believe you guys have always seen me with a golden chain. It's either on my neck or wrist."

They all nodded. He wasn't lying, the golden chain has never left his wrist or neck. But it happened that he lost it from the day Sephora got it from the bathroom.

He had kept it on the table and left to see the priest, even when he was back… the chain didn't strike his mind, until when he needed it.

"Sephora has been the one cleaning your room all this while. Isn't it better you inquire from her either? She might have placed it somewhere for you." Elsa suggested.

He glanced at her. "She was the one that handed it over to me yesterday… but I couldn't find it on the table where I kept it."

She gasped. "Send it to her first."

He ordered the guards to go get Sephora out of the cell, and they left instantly.

Within minutes, she was standing before the king. Her skin was full of bruises.

"Your majesty…" She greeted him.

He got on his taking short steps towards her, his eyes went round her body to see how it was, but he didn't pity her.

"You got my golden chain for me, but I can't find it now. Where exactly is it?" He roared at her hearing.

She folded her palms while her eyes narrowed. "I don't get you. I'm very sure that you took the chain from me yesterday and placed it on the table. Besides I left with you."

"Sephora, you're the only one that cleans up his room. So, if you don't know where it is exactly… what do you want us to say?" Elsa referred to her.

That voice made her feel irritated, she hates that freaking voice.

"Now, what are you trying to say? Even if I'm the one that cleans up his room… I'm i the only one that has access to his room? Don't you come in anytime you want?"

Elsa moved to her. "Don't yell at me, Sephora, don't make that mistake."

"Look Elsa, the trash that I'm taking from his majesty is with due respect. Don't just make filthy noises to my ear." Sephora yelled back at her.

She stepped backwards when he noticed the king getting closer to her.

"I don't need any quarrel in my presence, the only thing that I need now is my golden chain. If it isn't found… then the whole of you will pay for it." The king declared.

They all quivered in fear, all the workers had their eyes affixed on Sephora like she's responsible for it.

Quite right, her portion of duty is the king's chamber, but the moon goddess knows that she has nothing to do with the golden chain.

The only time she set her eyes and hands on it, is the time she gave it to him while washing the restroom.

"Produce the chain Sephora, stop pretending that you know nothing about it." Elsa screamed in her ear again.

She flicked her palm aside and a thunderous slap landed on her cheek.

Alpha Leon glared at her and bared his teeth. "Nykon, search for all the workers. But I'll search Sephora by myself." He ordered.

Nykon moved forward to do as he was ordered, when a feminine voice quenched his movement.

"You don't need to search us. I took the golden chain." The voice stated.

All eyes kept searching to see that it's Masha who made the statement. Everyone was shocked, how could that be?

If it's possible to forget about the chain, he wouldn't bother looking for it. But that chain means a lot to him.

The secret of his throne and everything around him to be in a golden color is still hidden, and only he knows about it.

The chain… the staff he's holding and the cloak he's putting on are all in golden color.

Uhmmm! His eyes also turn golden when he's kind of irritated.

"You took my golden chain Masha. That's unbelievable." He uttered.

He won't spare her for any reason. "Take her into the dungeon, she will be starved for two days and won't taste a drop of water." He declared.

This time, Nykon didn't need to wait till he mentioned his name, he ordered the guards to take Masha out and they gripped her palm instantly.

Alpha Leon glanced at Elsa to see her facial expression full of shock. He snapped.

"What's wrong with you Elsa? You aren't satisfied with her punishment? Or you're shocked to see her as the thief."

She twisted her lips. "I'm shocked to see her as the thief." She uttered.

Masha was grabbed by her arms, she made a speech in a murmuring tone before passing by Sephora who stood immobile.

If she could hear her clearly. "Be very careful, in fact…leave to your room now." That was Masha's word's to her ear before she was dragged out.

She glanced at the faces surrounded and recalled what Masha spoke to her ear. She turned and left the chamber.
