"Chief…" one of the maids called out from the corridor. She moved to her quietly.

"I'm no longer the chief maid, Elsa is… do refer to me by my name." Her voice was so calm as usual.

The young girl rolled her eyes, she can imagine how harsh Elsa would be as the chief maid.

"What offence did you commit? Did you offend the Alpha king?" She questioned curiously.

She shook her head. "Elsa is a beta while I'm a gamma. That's why."

"That shouldn't be a reason, besides Elsa isn't familiar with the works here." She replied and hissed out loud.

Masha approached them. "I heard that Sephora was rejected by the Alpha king because no one knows the father… and she is an Omega too. "

"Not only that. There is a secret or would I say mystery about her that not even the moon goddess could tell." The chief maid added.

The other maid tapped her foot on the floor. "That's why she turned out to be a slave to her mate huh?"

"And Elsa wants to be the king's Luna. That's the reason she's here." Masha retorted.

The chief maid widened her eyes. "Don't implicate yourself in their matter Masha."

"I don't care please, I just feel sorry for ma'am Sephora because of the hell she's gonna pass through in the hands of her sister."

"You still refer to her that way huh?" The other maid referred to Masha.

She nodded. "She deserves it."

"Well, I heard Elsa telling the king that Sephora is a witch. Who knows how true it is?" The chief maid remarked.

The other two moved closer to her.

"I don't believe it."

"Come on Masha, don't say that. It might be the secret." The other maid uttered.

She shook her head. "A secret that the moon goddess couldn't tell, she just framed up that lie so she would be accepted to work here. Her target is the Alpha king."

"But she's unlucky. Sephora is out of the dungeon and her portion of duty is the king's chambers." The chief maid stated.

" Huh! " Masha widened her eyes. Happiness filled her heart that she fled her hands on her hair.

"What's the excitement all about that you keep gossiping instead of getting to work." A female voice referred to them.

They turned backwards to see Elsa near them.

"We are done for now." The chief maid replied.

She moved closer to her and gave her a resounding slap. "Don't talk to me again in such a manner. Now I'm gonna tell the king of your gossip."

Before they could say a word again, Elsa had dashed out of their sight.

Sephora turned sideways to get the king staring at her. He was seated on his couch while she stood beside the wardrobe arranging his clothes.

Mehn! His clothes are damn expensive, she inhaled the sweet scent from it.

"Make sure the bed looks neat." He uttered.

Sephora fastened with the wardrobe and moved to the bed. It was so large and designed with golds.

"His room is designed with golds including his cloaks. I wonder the amount of love he has for the design." Sephora muttered within herself.

"He's from a primordial trait, and once his wolf is a Alpha of all Alpha's… gold is his identity." Her wolf replied to her.

She nodded.

"Don't tell me you're soliloquizing while at work." Leon drew her attention.

She stood erect and shook her head. "No my King.. I'm sorry, my master."

"Make that mistake the second time and face a severe punishment now." He remarked.

She shivered in fear. His voice was so cold and hoarse at same time, his glares alone sent shivers down her spine.

Everything about him kept pondering her. Why does he hate her that much? Who enslaves his mate and treats him badly this way?

She is always different…

"When you're done, go get my meal. The chef should be through by now." He ordered her.

She nodded. "I'll do that."

She dressed up the bed quickly and left to go meet the chef.

"His majesty requests for his meal." She stated.

The chef pointed at the already served food at the side.

"Isn't he coming to the dining room today?"

"I don't think so, he wants it in his room." Sephora replied.

Elsa walked in. "That's not part of your job. Drop it and I'll take it to her myself."

"He ordered me to get it." Sephora retorted.

Elsa lifted her face, staring at her. "You've forgotten my position in this palace right? I'm your mistress, so you do what I want and the king will understand."

She shifted aside and watched her take the meal with her.

"Why not follow her?" The chef questioned her.

She took a deep breath and left the kitchen instantly to the king's chamber to see Elsa serving him the meal.

"You're too lazy to do your work right?" The king yelled at her.

She felt her legs shaking. "Not at all master. She persisted in taking the meal herself."

"Now clean up my restroom before I'm done with the food." He ordered her.

She nodded, taking a glance at Elsa who was busy throwing mocking stares at her.

"Your majesty… I caught Masha with two other maids gossiping with your name." Elsa announced.

He didn't say a word.

She moved closer to him, running her finger through his hair. "I need them to be punished so they can respect his majesty."

"Call Nykon over here." He ordered.

Elsa smiled Inwardly and left the room instantly to go get Nykon.

He was so busy gobbling on his meal when Sephora got out of the restroom heading towards him.

"I'm done. Any other thing to do?" She referred to handing over to him a golden chain she came across in the restroom.

He nodded. "Nothing else for now." He picked the golden chain and smiled.

She was shocked to see that expression on his face. Truly, he looks more charming when smiling.. not to talk of when he's sad any longer.

He placed it beside his tray of food. "You can leave my sight." He ordered her and she fled away immediately.

Elsa returned with Nykon who was with the priest.

"The priest sent for you… to your majesty." He uttered and bowed down his head.

He got on his feet and left the room immediately.

Elsa stood staring at them feeling disappointed until they left the room entirely. She glanced at the table and shut her eyes instantly.

When she let it open, she came in contact with the golden chain that sparkled from the table.
