We
are laughing out loud when we enter the courtyard of the hotel. Allison has
just told Zoe that for someone who claimed to have no regrets, her list is
rather long. We stop laughing when we see Mrs. Anderson having dinner with
Ethan, Arianna and Bethany.
“Let’s
have some fun,” Paul suggests. I shake my head, not ready to face them again so
soon, but he wraps his arm around my shoulders and pulls me along to approach
their table. “Good evening! I’m glad to see you all here. We had an amazing
afternoon. You don’t mind if we join you, do you?”
He
doesn’t wait for their answer. He pulls over some chairs so we can sit with
them. His mother throws him angry looks, but he ignores her.
