Hunter's POV
"This one is perfect," Trish says, gazing at the tree. We've been searching for a Christmas tree for two hours.
"But you said that about the last ten."
I don't want to upset her; her mood swings are unpredictable.
"I know, but this one looks bigger."
They all look the same to me.
"Are you sure this is the one?"
"Wait... no, this one at the bottom is too low," she frowns.
Oh boy.
"It's perfect!" she gasps, rushing to another tree in the middle that is taller and looks expensive.
"How much for it?" I ask, checking the tag.
I could faint—it's over our budget.
"My husband will pay for it; I want this one," Trish insists, grabbing a worker's arm.
"Sure, but—"
"Just let it go, man, if you don't want to end up like me," a guy interjects, pointing to his swollen eye.
