“You look a little pale, are sure you’re okay?” Kai asks as we walk around NYU for his college tour.
“Yes but I think I’m coming down with something though.” I fan my face.
For a city that’s always known for being cold, New York is uncharacteristically hot today.
“Well I don’t know why we’re here, I told you I’m picking the school Kathryn is going to.” He pushes his sunglasses up the bridge of his nose.
“And I told you, you’re not picking a school based on a girl.” I fight the nausea building up, “I get you wanting to be close to her but I’m working really hard to makes sure you’re have a choice in the school you go to.”
“I know, sorry.” He offers me his best smile.
