“Good morning.” I take my seat in front of Matthew in homeroom.
“You’re in a good mood.” He yawns pushing a pencil between his ear.
“I am, I spent the weekend in Seattle with my family.” I hold my hair up, “it was so fun.”
For the first time since we met, I think I am genuinely glad to see Matthew Hunter.
“Well, I am glad you feel better. You look better too.”
“I am, thank you.”
The first period bell rings.
