Twenty minutes after Renquist leaves, None remains at the Resolute Desk in a catatonic stupor.
MJ worries about him. None isn’t the best at dealing with disappointments. He just sits in his chair, like he’s part of the furniture.
Shen strokes his hands through his hair. He looks burnt out by the events of the day. “Can we speak privately?”
MJ nods. She follows Shen outside the Oval Office, down the hallway, into the Cabinet Room.
Shen nods a few times, summoning courage. “I’ve decided I’ll be your dead man.”
