Through the Looking Glasses
It’s 10 am. That leaves less than fourteen hours to find Renquist’s meeting location. Fernando can use NSA resources, but Renquist has many ties in the intelligence community. It’s not paranoid to consider that any government agency could be compromised.
Secret Service agents lead Fernando to MJ’s bedroom in Number One Observatory Circle.
MJ comes to the door and gives Fernando a short hug in front of the agents. She leads him in and locks the door behind him.
Fernando wears wraparound sunglasses and carries a paper bag. “I’m not playing games anymore. Here’s a parting gift.” He hands MJ a box from his paper bag.
