Intervention
His short speech leaves time for more nightlife. None daydreams about his evening plans. Ten paces outside the Oval Office, Shen, and MJ stride toward him, flanked by agents.
MJ carries a stack of magazines and newspapers. “Bro, we need to talk.” MJ opens the door to the adjoining Cabinet Room.
It’s never good news when you hear those words, especially on the way to a hot date. “But I’m going out with Zelda.”
Shen says, “And four hours after Zelda Remington, you have a date with Sarah North. I’m familiar with your schedule. It’ll take five minutes.”
“You have three.” None hisses air and follows Shen into the room. He stands by the long table where the entire cabinet meets.
