Propositioned
The threatening phone call makes MJ’s house feel less safe.
“What was that about a police station?” After her recent visit, the mere mention of police stations unsettles MJ.
“I got prank called by one of Renquist’s henchmen. He said I’d never be president. I have enough delegates to be president! I guess he doesn’t know how to add.”
“Agent Vincent!” None flags down his lead agent. “I was threatened on this phone. Find out where it came from.”
Agent Reynolds pulls out gloves and collects the evidence in a baggie. “We sweep for electronics. The last sweep was two hours ago. So, the phone was placed recently.”
None says, “Renquist owns cops. Maybe he owns Secret Service too. One of your agents wasn’t sweeping for electronics. He was placing them.”
