MJ enters Beer Beakers for the first time since the shootings. Online rumors tell of paranormal episodes in the bar: cold spots and strange knocking sounds. It’s a strange contrast, the supernatural in a science-themed bar. She doesn’t need ghost stories. Memories haunt her. MJ rubs the burn scars on her hands. A shiver travels down her spine.
