Vera’s POV
“It’s very simple. I’ll tell him the truth—which is, how I feel about him and how much I want to be involved in his life, cursed or not.” I muttered to myself as I walked toward the gym for another day of training with Andrew. What would his reaction be once I told him how much I’ve grown to love him?
First clue: He would be happy—maybe hug and kiss me again.
Second guess: He’d remind me that I once said our first kiss was a mistake and meant nothing to me.
Shit. Cathryn was right. I was an addicted overthinker.
As I opened the door to the gym, bracing myself for the moment I’d confess my feelings to Andrew, I was immediately disappointed by the sight of Rick instead.
Where is Andrew? I glanced around, but he wasn’t here.
