Chapter 104 Phil's POV I sat alone in my office, on one of the couches, reading a letter sent by a spy. Every word he wrote showed no value, the information was quite focused on how happy Vera was in Blue pearls—she was happy with everything—happy with Alpha Andrew. My fists curled until my knuckles whitened. I felt like the worst man in the world, sending my mate away and here I was spying on her like the loser that I am. Damn this. I shredded the letter, throwing the pieces to the floor. I shouldn't have bothered caring if she was safe in the first place. But I did. The moment I saw her at my party that night, I didn't think Vera wanted to be here by her own will; instead, I thought Andrew had forced her to attend the party just to taunt me. That's why I cared and hired a damn spy.
