Vera's POV
I walked out of the cottage more confused than I was when I first entered. What was she all about?
First it was about fate and then destiny and then something big was coming. Which one should I believe? I was an orphan, all my life no one had used me. I was always for their selfish purpose. This thing with Phil, I was only here because my aunt had threatened me. She wanted to have someone in the pack house and as soon as news came that Phil needed a wife, she jumped at it.
No one had used me, so what did she mean by fate? Surely it wasn't me she was referring to. Maybe she had made a mistake and thought I was someone else.
"What did Cindy say?" Drew asked me as soon as I stepped out. I jerked back in fear, already forgetting he was out there.
"Sorry." He winced
