Lucy's POV
We got to the hospital, my head spinning from trying to cook up a lie or an excuse to avoid my secrets being exposed. The physician instructed me to lie on the gurney for a proper check-up.
“I don't think that will be necessary,” I said calmly. The physician creased his forehead, confused as if to ask why.
“I feel better already and I don't need any of this. ” I said to him, taking my seat across from his office desk.
