Phil's POV
I thought I could keep the anger in, make it settle while I stayed in my office and distract myself with some pack work but I was only being a hypocrite to myself. The anger only intensified everytime Vera crossed my mind.
The conversation with Drew only made my anger towards Vera worsen. He seemed to me that he knew so much more about Vera than I should. And I hate that there are a lot of things she seemed to be feeling and a part of it was supposed to be my fault.
I knocked twice on Vera's bedroom door, and she opened it. And instantly her expression changed from being calm to a strange look, like I was the last person she wanted to see. But to hell with that, I was Alpha of this pack and out of everyone else, I was the face she would always see no matter what.
