CHAPTER 2
Inside the DPO’s office, Kendo and Benson were rather antagonistic of one another over what they were discussing when a knock came and Ethel entered and apologized for her intrusion. As she came in, they stopped whatever the matter they had at hand. There were compiled documents she had studied since the early hours of the morning in her hands. Since she had eavesdropped and heard Kendo made nonsense of her intellect and personality, she had prepared to expose a naked Kendo to the excruciating sun. Among the files was a dossier on Kendo. She was shocked to see a noted remark on the last line in one of his appraisals by the former DPO. It stated thus in what looked like an exaggeration. “He’s to be watched closely for he might stab the force on the back.”
