Dana paused from speaking as her phone rang. She picked up her phone, which was placed on the dining table, to see who was calling. She saw that it was her best friend Nadine calling at that moment.
She glanced at it and then shifted her gaze to Joan, who was with her in the kitchen. "Hmm... Joan, excuse me for a moment. I'll just take this call from my best friend," she excused herself.
