“You know, at first I thought it was Malcolm too, but he just isn’t smart enough to pull something of this magnitude off.”
Miguel nodded in agreement and drummed his fingers on the table in a synchronized manner.
We were in my office, going over our suspect list, trying to figure out who was behind the attacks since the police were still lagging in their investigation. We had at least ten people to suspect, but none seemed smart enough or desperate enough to want to hurt me. The reasons all just didn’t make sense, unless there was something deeper that I didn’t know about or they just really hated me.
