Jay's POV
'"Hey, what's wrong?" My eyes locked with Rachael's eyes. She had currently gotten off the phone with her friend but instead of having a smile, she had a huge frown, her eyes were slightly watery.
She swallowed hard and looked at the cloudy sky, taking deep breaths she slowly opened her mouth, "Scarlett's caretaker was brutally murdered by a wild animal."
I could feel my eyes widening, my throat began to burn, "What?"
She turned to glare at me, her eyes watery and red, "You heard me Jay."
"H-how do you know this" my voice was hoarse.
"Well how else, she called me," she stayed quiet for a few seconds before talking, "She sounded so broken."
My mouth, no my mind couldn't find the words. I didn't know what to say. The cold breeze came, making them fly away into the gray sky.
"When did this happen" my mouth finally formed the words.
She once again looked at me, her tears running down her cheeks, "A week ago, she going to go live with her sister for a while."
My body began to shake, "What, where is she at now?" The first rain drop finally hit the ground, then more followed after it. Rachael walked out of the rain and into our rented house, my feet stayed glued to my spot. The rain hitting my warm body.
"Come out of the rain, i***t" she whispered entering the house.
"Where does she live" I screamed into the rain, she was gone. She didn't even answer my question.
My feet dug into the wet dirt as I walked into the blue/grey house.
"Rachael, answer my question" my feet squeaked against the tile floor.
"We'll go visit her later" she yelled from her room, her voice was so dry.
I knew this hurt her more but I could feel my mates’ pain. I’ve been feeling it all week I just didn't understand it until now.
My clothes were leaking with water, it was such an unpleasant feeling. The way the wet clothes stick to your body and the annoying feeling of the water running down your body.
I walked to my room, clenching my chest, it hurt.
The pain came and went. It must have be way worst for her. The pulsing pain that starts in your heart and moves through your body.
'I'm so sorry Scarlet.'
