Chapter Seven
Jay's POV
"Well It's about Jay's mate, S-she's a were-werecat." she stuttered but I could hear her loud and clear.
My eyes widen, looked deep into Rachael's eyes. "Y-your mates a werecat" she whispered with a disgusted tone.
I soon got over my shock and glared at her "She may be a werecat but she's still my mate. I don't care what she is."
Rachael nodded understandingly, but she didn't understand. She didn't understand the pain in my chest. MY mate is something the werewolf's are supposed to hate. The pack won't accept her. Hell, I don't even know if I want to accept her.
'Shut up, she's OUR mate. I don't give a damn about how you feel. She needs us and we need her, that's the end of it' Sam growled.
'But she's a werecat, they're disgusting. I-I don't think I can accept her as the Luna of our pack.'
'If you're thinking about rejecting her, I'm going to take control of your useless body and accept her as MY mate. You’re never going to have control again' Sam yelled.
Rachael waved her tiny hand in front of me, "Dude are you okay, you seemed dazed."
I nodded my head, I replaced my ear against the door.
"Relax Honey, I'm sure he'll find out soon" Dad replied after a long period of silence.
"No you don't understand, he's too in love, he's blinded," Mom seemed hysterical, almost at the verge of tears, "And even if he does accept her do you know how much hell they'll go through. A dog and a cat fated to be together, is this some kind of sick joke from the Moon Goddess."
"Honey, I understand how you feel, he's my kid too. But even if this is a sick joke, we can't do anything. What's done has been done. We can't change fate" Dad seemed surprisingly calm.
As if on cue, mom answered my question "How can you be so calm? Don't you UNDERSTAND, our child is part of one of the Moon Goddesses sick joke. The pack will never accept a filthy werecat. They are going to be looked down by other powerful packs. Peace treaties will be broken because of that damn girl. And to make matters worse, our son's werewolf is the ALPHA."
Mom was crying by this point, and I could hear Rachael sniffling.
"Valerie, remember the first time I met you, you thought that I was going to reject you because you were an omega. But I didn't care, when I laid eyes on you, my heart melted. You were the toughest omega I had ever met. You didn't take crap from anyone and I loved that about you. But you always thought that I'd leave you some day. That fear went away after I proposed to you. Yes, other packs did look down on us, but I didn't give a damn because I had you with me and that's all I needed."
Mom soon after started sobbing. We all knew that mom was an omega but I never thought that she'd be scared about getting rejected from my dad. As for dad, he was always quiet and kept his feelings to himself, I'd never (Not in a million years) think that he was capable of saying that. Not even to mom.
Rachael looked at me and backed away from the door. She leaned against the opposite wall in front of me, "What are you going to do Jay?"
I laughed and ran my hand through my black hair "What else can I do, I’m already in love with my mate."
