"Is everything okay?" I asked Lorenzo when he was dressing up quickly. After the phone call he received, he looked worried.
"Something important came up. I have to leave immediately." He said. I just stood there as he rushed around the room picking up pieces of his clothing and putting them on. Once he was done he headed for the door, forgetting I was in the room. But then stopped halfway and turned around to look at me.
"I'm sorry I have to leave so suddenly," he said, his face apologetic. "Something really came up and I have to get there quickly."
"It's fine" I said. I tried to hide my disappointment but I'm sure he saw it on my face. He moved closer to me and covered my face in his palm. He tilted my head forward and kissed me lightly on the lips.
